We’ve noticed lately that a lot of people are pulling in their auras and their energy. It’s like they have a hard shell around them. We humans tend to do this out of fear that we’ll feel too much and because we unconsciously perceive others doing it and want to fit in. We may be afraid that we’ll attract too much attention, frighten others with the size and power of our Radiance, or be hurt if we are soft and "open". This "holding in" has turned out to be a common reason why people don't "feel enery", like the energy of rocks and crystals or the power of our Mesa Medicine Wheel. Holding in one's aura also seems to be the main reason why new Reiki practicioners feel that their Reiki is "not working", often because they have begun to doubt that the energy is "real" when friends or family members question its validity. When they say they're doing Reiki, but they don't feel it, it's apparent that no one ever taught them to relax and radiate. Simply having these "Reiki casualties" envision expanding their field by putting their hands at their hearts and then extending their arms out to their sides while giving them the suggestion to radiate seems to open them right up. Holding in our energy and not-radiating is a stressed condition. It uses up our Life Force to pull in so tightly and it keeps us from taking in Love and Life Energy from Nature and The Great Ocean of Creation. The more relaxed and open we are, the more we radiate. The more we radiate, the more Love and Life Energy we take in and the more relaxed we feel. There is UNLIMITED Love and Life Energy available to each of us if we allow it in and radiate it back out. It can be a continuous flow if we simply allow it! While talking to our students and helping clients in The Mesa Healing Center, it has become apparent that some people have stopped radiating because they feel like it just has no purpose or effect. They are filled with a lifetime of trauma, fear, and doubt, believing that they are insignificant and powerless to change the status quo. They have forgotten that all of Nature is a symphony of energetic "notes" that work together to support all Life. They have forgotten their part of the musical score. They have forgotten that each and every one of us is an antenna for Creation’s Light that we can amplify and rebroadcast for the good of all things: Radiating your Light helps the flowers open. Radiating your Light helps the birds keep singing. Radiating your Light helps the catapillars turn into butterflies. Radiating your Light keeps the rain falling and the rivers flowing. Radiating your Light keeps the Earth turning. The Hopis believe that if they stop dancing, the World will end. Do your really want to hold in your Light? Play your song for all to hear: Radiate, Radiate, Radiate! You’ll be using your Power to support the Planet-- and you’ll feel better, too! Don't know what it means to Radiate?
